It has been 14 years!

It has been 10!!! years since I last blogged anything in this space! And a glorious 14 years since I started baking seriously! Times have changed! I became lazy?!

Ok I stopped because my current house did not like me baking at odd hours and having icing sugared floors daily. So basically, I did not have any space to myself, for myself! So I packed everything! away and went on some travels and new adventures!

Then a surprise came to me in 2012, and then on I was busy being a mom. So yeah, I still cooked and baked, but nothing worth to mention!

So my DD is now going to be in middle school and life is less chaotic. We have settled into a nice daily routine and I have found some free time and I could actually blog again!

I will be posting pictures, descriptions and findings (perhaps) and maybe some recipes and photos, maybe.

I want to start blogging again because I have lost my typing speed, my writing is horrible, my vocabulary is shrinking.

These past few weeks have been amazing. I went to the store to get my baking things, to have them cleaned and ready and I saw myself in those boxes, full of hope.

My dream was to open a cafe style shop, selling cakes, breads, and pastries. Some coffee , teas and drinks. A place where people could chit chat. It would also have a beautiful green tropical garden for al-fresco dining. But, it is a dream. Which I hope DD would pursue when she is way older.

Back to the boxes! I saw my fondant tools, gum paste tools, moulds of all sorts, tart pans , cake tins, brownie trays! I was a happy person back then. Baking till wee hours of the morning, to fulfil orders for the next day. I was basically living my dream.

Unsupported dreams like mine, end up in boxes in storage. But I am always thankful and very much grateful to God, giving me these skills, and also giving me the chance to have a little piece of my dream become a reality! Minus the cafe space! Looking back, I had everything I needed, all the best tools of the trade, but lacking knowledge. The journey never stopped. As I continued to bake and cook, but for personal consumption and for friends.

Now I am very happy too! I have the means to make this real. I am at the age where I still would like to try. Hence my sudden appearance in the blogosphere!

So I will now start blogging. To my new adventures!
